Our Rather Naughty Bits….
We made the PAINLabs for a reason beyond giving you something to try out every week, but also to test out some new concepts to see if they will make good gameplay modes. We needed a way to create full-fledged modes for our fans in less time than it takes to construct new environments. If you remember back to when we first released PAINLabs, the first Lab was pretty much a block destruction exercise. I had a lot of fun with that. From your responses a lot of you did as well. So when we thought of the first mode to release sans an environment we went back to our first lab. So the first Naughty Bit mode is called: SHOTBLOKS!
The poll about PAINalympics was kind of a test-bed about what exactly you all care more about: online head to head competition or Leader Board competition. As you can see the Leader Boards seem to have it. It doesn’t mean we are done with online play. It just means we are making these new modes Leader Board friendly first.
SHOTBLOKS will test your accuracy as you have multiple towers to destroy. Each tower must be reduced to less than 1% capacity. CLOCKBLOKS is a variation that tests how fast you can make this happen, and will be included with SHOTBLOKS. Each mode has separate leader boards as well. There will be new Naughty Bits releasing for a while. So when we release a new one I will be back to tell you what they are and what new skill they test. The next Naughty Bit we do will be a return to one of the best received PAINLabs we ever did. Now it’s back with scoring and other goodness.
The Naughty Bits modes will be priced at $1.99. They are roughly the cost of two launchables but worth every penny. I’ve personally been playing SHOTBLOKS for the past few weeks in Coke’s office and setting a high score he can’t beat. This mode releases with the Museum environment, so get ready for some real live competition.
In other news….
We are putting the final touches on the Museum and it’s looking like we are wrapping it up this week. I’ll tell you guys next week what to expect from our latest and greatest but it’s quite impressive. We’ve all been having fun with this expansion and there are some goodies for people who have made purchases in the past. Also, both Cookie and Tati are getting into the summer spirit. Since they are very popular we thought it was only right that they get swimsuits for the summer.
So Naughty Bits, New Swimsuits… and some other things are coming in the VERY NEAR FUTURE for PAIN.
