Paindemonium
This is where you get to bring the PAIN – an open Downtown environment filled with all sorts of goodies to smack, grab, toss, and blow up. Need to work on your Ooch technique or your grabbing and throwing skills? This is the place. When the student has become the PAIN master, test your skills in Aftermath to post your scores to the PAIN Leaderboards.
- HINT – Super Ooches can help get you over curbs and building roof edges.
- HINT – Use R2 for the Aerial view to see if a friendly vehicle might smash into you and give you some extra momentum. Your run might not be over when you think it is….

Mime Toss
Ever found Mimes annoying? Yeah, us too. In this mode, you get to snatch a floating Mime out of the air and throw him through all of the target panes of glass in as little time as possible. Polish your Mime-chucking in Normal and Hard difficulties, and take it to the Leaderboards in PAINful mode to see how fast you can clear all of the targets.
- HINT – Grabbing and Ooching is STRONGLY encouraged….
- HINT – There is no penalty for your character breaking panes of glass as long as you grabbed the Mime first…

Spank the Monkey
Let’s face one of life’s basic facts – Monkeys are naughty, and they must be spanked. In this mode, your job is to launch your character into as many Monkeys scattered around the level as possible.
- HINT – Like most things in PAIN, Monkeys can be grabbed, dragged, and thrown….
- HINT – Hitting multiple Monkeys in a single launch could be beneficial….

H-O-R-S-E
Challenge your friends to a PAINful version of the classic game of HORSE. The first player in the round aims, launches, and gets his/her best score. Other players must then aim and launch, hitting the same first object as the first player and outdo his/her score. Miss the same first object as the first player in the round? FAILED! Hit the same first object but got a lower score? FAILED! Failure gets you a letter, and H-O-R-S-E = G-A-M-E O-V-E-R.
- HINT – One word – Multiplier. It can make all the difference.
- HINT – Distant targets give you a chance to get a Stylin’ advantage from the moment you launch.

Bowling
You’ve bowled before, but never like this. Launching your character at ten oversized pins sounds simple enough, but your opponents have an arsenal of distractions at their disposal. From blast-off Grannies to exploding crates that fall from the sky to a giant donut and more, there are plenty of ways for them to try to stop you from picking up that spare.
- HINT – Posing can sometimes help you weave through the gauntlet of distractions flying about…
- HINT – Did you use a distraction on your opponent’s first launch and miss? Hmmm….you may still be able to distract them….

Fun with Explosives
You have two launches to string together as many exploding crates as possible. You set the bar, and your opponents have to string together more explosions than you did. Precision and Ooching skills are key here, and you have to keep your momentum going to keep those crates a’blowin’.
- HINT – WHERE you hit an explosive crate determines the distance and direction it sends you flying…. Use this to your advantage when setting up a launch.
- HINT – Explosive crates will also explode if they are hit with objects from around the level, so if you cause something to hit a crate – even if it isn’t your character – it counts.
